After receiving an Environmental Policy Degree from UNC Chapel Hill, Tatum could no longer resist his calling to hair and went to the Aveda Institute NYC to chart his own path. Upon graduation, he worked with top talents such as Antoinette Beenders, Frédéric Fekkai and Nick Arrojo, elevating his craft. During his 8-year tenure with Arrojo Studio, Tatum worked as lead Educator and Platform Artist all while advancing his DJ career. All of these experiences helped fuel the creation of @ElevateHair — a rapidly growing Instagram platform and a new style of hair show. Elevate is a social media-driven event that tours the country with no sponsors, no product commercials — just talented hairdressers sharing their skills in front of dance party.
